Mason has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was 11 years old. Music has always been a big influence in his life, whether listening to the Beatles, Eagles and America, singing in the High School Choir or playing on the weekends in local rock bands. College found Mason "jamming" with bass player, Michael Boudreaux and drummer, William Matthews in a band called Prestige. Mason later moved to Monroe, Louisiana to attend The University Louisiana Monroe, where he met Wyatt Webb, bass guitarist and Kelly Kemp, musician extraordinaire. The trio played in a band called "Why Not?", in which Michael Boudreaux later joined. They performed at local bars and fraternity parties. While Mason was earning a Bachelor's degree in Radio, TV, and Film with a minor in Voice, the members of "Why Not?" continued to hone their chops individually and collectively. A spin-off band was also formed, Kit Carson with Kelly Kemp on drums and Boudreaux on bass. Today, Mason is married to his wife Shannon, and they have three sons, Bailey, Jake, and Nathan. Mason continues to write songs, play guitar, and sing in The Mason Granade Band, Matthews-Granade and is a Worship Leader at his church. Mason has also traveled to the U.K. several times bringing classic rock to South Wales with the First West Band. His unique style and soft wide ranged voice allow Mason to cover many songs performed by some of the most well-known artists from the 60's 70's, 80's, 90's, and even current artists. Mason's music has even been in films such as "Flag of My Father", "New Hope”, and "Cowboy and Indiana". He even had a cameo in “Flag of My Father”, and "Cowboy and Indiana". Mason continues to grow and develop his musical and vocal talents to this day.
